Home again

Hi there. Now I know that my last post said Mt Eden 1 and you are right to expect a Mt Eden 2 but I have had fun and games with my transfers of photos from my phone to computer and then to blog folder. I became very frazzled and have just managed to get something together though My computer seems to have changed the processes and formats so that I have had to find my way around a new process, hence the photos are a bit jumbled so we start with this photo of the amazing sunset that followed me home on the Sunday evening after my few days at Mt Eden. The photo doesnt do it justice of course.
Now this is supposed to be at the end of this post and is one of my latest makes for a secret
santa gift for the quilt group xmas party held this week.
A wellcome home from the moggies. I don't think they missed me much.
The gateway was a wellcome sight. I know I love Mt Eden and being in the city but when I turned in the gateway I had a lovely warm feeling of homecoming.
The very old rambling rose passed down from DH's Mum is festooned through the roadside shrubbery.
There was a lot of washing to do , mainly of my op shop purchases. This little embroidered top is not for me to wear alas, but will be recycled for something crafty.
There is the colourful lineup. I wonder what will come about from such a haul.
I had a big job to do pruning the wisteria. Can you see the long tendrils reaching out. I have already pruned it once and there will be ongoing attacks on the fast growing shoots. I'm thinking of the trifids.
whoops , on to the next one
This is the piles of trimmings
and this is where they go. Over the bank. You can see what has become of other prunings and weddings to the left and look out over our paddock or should I say field. It is looking very lush at the moment as the neighbour has not put his cattle in for a while. The heap in the centre is the bonfire but now we have so many restrictions I don't know when we can light it. We do it about once a year with the stuff thats too awkward to put through the chipper. I rather fancy having a proper fire pit there with a stone surround and a shepherds hut or similar nearby for happy fireside gatherings.
 whoops, again
Now I'm back in Mt Eden after one of my long walks I went to one of my favourite cafes for some well earned refreshment. The sparrows were there and tucking in before I had a chance to begin. I love them and was entranced by their bravery and cheek. Now I don't seem to be able to scroll the page to continue so I will try and explain the following pics that I can't see. I enjoyed a cider with my feast of course and the sparrows became braver and cheekier. I just loved this interlude . The sparrows ofn the other table were fighting with a sugar sachet and finally opened it and it was enjoyed by them all. So as I cant see any more I will leave you to enjoy the rest of the pics, or I hope they are there. I hope I can do a better job next time. Thanks for your patience and your visit. Will try to get back soon. Blessings, Trills.
